My go to hair place in town. I have gone a few times for just a cut, got highlights and last time this bold pink. The first pink they added wasnt quite what I wanted but she gladly too the time to try a different pink for me. Nicest ladies here.

Affair. Casey was my stylist and she took care to sanitize the area before and after my cut. The cut Casy did for me was one of the best I have ever had. She took great pains to make sure both sides were even and that my uncooperative side laid nicely. I will be back!

Very friendly staff and when I told Calyn that I have had a specific style for years and there was nobody around the area to do it anymore, she jumped right in and gave me something I was extremely excited and happy with. Will definitely be making the Hair Affair my new go to from now on.

Called after getting a horrendous fade from another place in town, they worked me into their schedule the same afternoon. Walked in with the worst fade I have ever seen and they got me lined up and faded up properly. Would definitely recommend

The location is convenient. The salon is a bit small (3 stations in a cozy area) and no waiting area to sit, however they're remodeling a building on 5th and it will be MUCH bigger and offer a lot more services (pedis and manis, etc). The salon is always clean and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. They've recently added an awesome notification/reminder system as well (2 or 3 days prior).

I've been going to Emma for the past year. She absolutely knows what she's doing. She's great with recommending colors and cuts. She's also progressive and keeps up to date with trends. If you want to schedule with her, expect about a 3 week wait (and get on the waiting list in case there's a cancelation); always schedule your next appointment before you leave the salon. Oh, and if interested in extensions, check her out. They're extremely easy to use! I'm impressed.

P.S. effective Oct 1, 2022 they will be implementing a 24-hour notice cancelation policy which is completely understandable. They're very busy and it's their livelihood. There's also no reason not to since notifications/reminders are sent 2-3 days prior.

The best place in town to get your hair done! The staff is super friendly and I always leave with a smile on my face!

This is one of, if not the best place to get a haircut here in town. They offer basically everything haircut and nails related and are at a decent location. My stylist was awesome to talk to and did a fantastic job. The interior is very well decorated. Cost-wise, it's about what I would expect and certainly isn't unaffordable.

Overall, 10/10 would recommend.

First thing I have known Calyn for years even before she had her own place and she is an amazing hair stylist. The place is always very clean and cozy feeling. The other stylist are so kind and make a girl feel so pretty. I would recommend this place.

Second, they go WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND anything I've ever heard. I called Calyn a couple weeks ago needing to get in for a color. Problem is I work mon-fri 40 miles from Bemidji so she scheduled me at 5:30 tonight and stayed til after 9 to finish my hair.

Today was my first time to visit the Hair Affair in Bemidji, MN. These three ladies are down to earth and very pleasant to be around. Calyn is so blessed to be the owner of the cute salon. Rachel, is kind and very good at what she does. Emma was my hairdresser today and the thing I like the most about her is that she listened to me when I explained what I was looking for. My hair was very long and I have had long hair for a long time. Emma heard what I wanted and gave me just that. Thank you ladies for all you do for the town of Bemidji. In the ad it says that they are out of the way and it wasn't kidding. But if you just keep looking, you will find it. I would recommend them to all my friends.

This place is a cute salon filled with friendly staff. Calyn, Emma and Rachel are a perfect trio for this salon. Super talented, friendly and they truly care about their customers. The price is of one of those "franchise" salons, but you get quality and feel of a "high end" salon. Plus when you are done you can stop by the attached pub and grab a cold adult beverage. ;) Check them out, leave the franchise and support local, you will not be disappointed.
